So I just found out that there is one more prereq class for my major which i did not take, it is Cisp 400 and i heard that UCLA is very picky about having your prereq's completed. So does this mean I have no chance at all now since i'm missing one prereq course? My major is Statistics btw

P.S: I'm currently taking CISP 301 and planning to take CISP 360 in the summer

Completing pre reqs are pretty important. They have so many applications coming in and an easy of way of filtering some of them out would be to reject those that have not completed all pre reqs. All though, I know some people that were accepted without completing all of their pre reqs. It probably just depends on how competetive your major is.

Malishka: It’s a computer programming class.

I’m glad u said its not a big deal because i heard a lot of people have been rejected from UCLA because they are missing one or two prereq’s

that is for like impacted majors . for majors no one applies to, i.e math and statistics they take you if you have a good overall app , missing one or two is not going to kill you. I was missing 5

I missed 3 pre-req (phy B,C and cal 3) when I apply last year for biochem (certainly not impact, I know) and I was accepted. So, it depends on your luck.

Hello Dreamspace:I have a question, I just applied UCLA as a Biochem major. I’m missing the LS2(organsmal biology). All my other requirements and igetc(already completed) will be completed before entrance; plus, I have already completed Biochem I at cc last spring . Does it hurt my chance a lot for this missing major prep? my GPA is 3.7 no tap. Thank you.
