Is it possible to get admitted to UCLA when you didnt finish the prereq classes.. I think Im missing 4. I think I can finish 3 of them after summer. But there's still one left because my school doesnt have a lower division bio lab class. BTW, my major is biochem =[

its POSSIBLE to be admitted, but the more competitive the major is, the less likely it is.

Biochem at UCLA is incredibly competitive. I would suggest you apply as an alternate major.

Yubo do you have TAP

Lizmartissot- it is too late to apply as another major, apps went out in NOV.

If your school does not have it, you are not held accountable for it.

However, completing them during summer does not help you, they do not look at summer courses as a time frame to complete your major prep. It has to be done by the end of spring to count for your app so as of app time you will be missing 3 preqs

It is not impossible to get in but you are at a disadvatage

I am transferring from a UC so there’s no TAP program for me. I was going to be able to finish 2 prereq classes by the end of spring. But i dropped a class during fall (it’s a series so I cannot take those classes during spring) so I need to take those 2 classes during summer to complete the prereq. And I changed my spring quarter schedule so that I can complete one more prereq. I also emailed UCLA about the changes that I made. I heard some schools allow u to take the prereq classes during summer. is UCLA one of them?

uc to uc transfer , biochem major , missing pre-reqs

your chances are slim my friend.

they might allow for some people to take pre-reqs over the summer for non impacted majors, but that is a big MIGHT.

I’m almost certain that they will not allow you to take pre-reqs over the summer for impacted majors unless your cc did not offer them. However you are from a UC and your UC did offer the class , it’s just that you dropped it.

sigh…
