I accidentally put that I was in National Honors Society (NHS) for 3 years: sophomore, junior, and senior year. The problem is that NHS isn’t available to sophomores. Therefore, it looks like I lied. I guess at the time I was editing my common app, I thought I had participated in NHS sophomore year. Do you all think this is bad? What do you think will happen? I applied to many very prestigious universities.
I don’t think it should be that big of a deal. If you are that worried, just email the schools and explain the situation.
1., they will never check, because 2., they really do not give a fig about NHS. You will achieve nothing by alerting them about this, esepcially at this stage in the game. It’s a minor mistake.
You were probably nominated Sophomore year anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thanks guys. This makes me feel so much better!
