My FAFSA has already been reviewed by RUTGERS but can I still make corrections or is it too late? They're giving me a direct loan from the gov. but my dad makes less than 40k a year. It just doesn't add up. What do you guys think? Thank you!

What would you correcting?

Are you saying that you ONLY got a student loan?

Are you instate for Rutgers?

What is your current FAFSA EFC?

What do you think needs correcting?

You can only make corrections that reflect your 2012 tax returns. You cannot change assets, or any other info on your FAFSA. It is very possible that the only aid that you are receiving is the Direct loan. Rutgers doesn’t guarantee to meet full need of all accepted students…and they don’t.

Agree with others…what exactly are you going to “correct” on your FAFSA. To be frank…any corrections that were reflective of your 2012 taxes should have been made LONG ago.

Unless the dad has assets that are affecting the EFC, this student should probably qualify for a Pell Grant. If the student can post the EFC, then maybe we can figure this out.

Student…if your EFC is high and your dad doesn’t have assets, then check to see if you put his income in the “student section.”
