Okay, so as the title reads, I made a mistake on my UC application.
When I was filling out my extracurricular activities I accidentally put the year I was involved in my school’s philosophy club to “12th+(3)”, when it should have been “12th+(2)”.
The stressing factor from this is solely due to the fact that I dedicated an entire PIQ to my role within the philosophy club, and even listed the award I received for being an officer.
I have not even been apart of the CCC system for more 3 years; this is barely my 2nd year (I transitioned to CC the fall semester after high school graduation). I don’t really know what approach to take, or whether or not it is actually something worth worrying about. The idea of suggesting I was apart of this club in the year “12th+(3)” would be suggestive that I partook in this club next year!
If anyone can be a figure of guidance, or can help me understand the severity or lack thereof. that would be greatly appreciated.
Trust me, that is no biggie. Send an email so it’s in writing through the UC portal. Or better, in my opinion, is to note it in the additional comments in the January update. It’s supposed to just be for grades, but the issue is so trivial, all you need to do is note it there - and the positive from that is it will instantly be imbedded in the application.
@Ohm888 – send an email through the UC portal? Do you have a specific e-mail address, because I am not too familiar with this process. I guess the aspect of being able to note it during the January update is a bit relieving. I also note that you are distinguished member of the boards, so because of this, would you suggest that I do what @Historymajorr suggested, of calling the UC admissions?
Also, I sent an email to this email yesterday because I read somewhere that the email docs@applyucsupport.net was the one an applicant should consult if facing an issue such as mine, however, the thread was quite old so I am not sure if the link is the same, in any case, I sent an message to that email explaining the issue. I also included : UC ID Number, DOB, and full name. Can you clarify on this? Is this the same email that I should be send messaging as you suggested, or am I mistaken.
