MIT, am I capable?

Hi, my name is Lila. I'm 14-years-old in freshmen year of High School. My goal is to go to MIT, but do I have any chance?

I'm an A's and B's student, an intern, and I do gymnastics (in school). I try my best to maintain A's, but I have many interference going on in my life. One of the many troubles I'm having difficulty is handling is my T1 Diabetes. As well as, family issues. These reasons are weighing on my everyday life, it's hard to maintain my grades. Nowadays, I tend to procrastinate and drown my sorrow into high-carbohydrate foods. My attendance has been going downhill, like my grades. So far, I have one bad grade, the others are A's. I currently have a D in World History Honors. The 1st quarter already ended yesterday, but I turned in my stuff on-time to his class, to at least score a B-. But, he never graded it. What should I do? I'm also participating in the Nsli for youth program, a program in which students 9th-12th grade have chance of going out of state, studying a language. But, now I can't do that can I? I really need help pulling myself together. Do I still have a chance, if so, what should I do?

*P.S. I'm in all honors, except for math.

Honestly MIT students are literally perfect. I talked to an admissions person at a college fair and he said that they had so many good students that even if someone had a perfect SAT score they might not get in. If you have bad attendance or a single D you probably don’t have a shot. However, if you get straight A’s and perfect attendance and are president of your class and clubs you might have a shot if you have amazing SAT test scores and a killer essay. Also its a technical school so you need to make sure you take the hardest math and science you can. Definitely do all AP or IB you can. Remember, most students who apply don’t get in, but its not too late to get your grades and attendance up. Good luck!

They don’t care about attendance…
