Hi,
I am from India and currently studying in class 11th and i am planning to apply in MIT, Princeton and Cornell University next year.
I have developed many apps in iOS for iPhone - giving video of 2 in supplement(calculator and torch)
I have published an article and had given lectures on that article in various places.
I have done charity work since class 8th - teaching orphan children computers ,helping them in many activities ,organising programs, etc
I have helped my grandmother during illness giving her all kinds of support
I work experience of website developments
I want to pursue computer science and provide education to poor people using online solution
I will also ask for a big amount of scholarship

If you’re applying as an international student, your chances are already low. We need to know your SAT I and II, and probably the TOEFL too.

You have published an article - is it in a well respected science journal?

You’ll be competing with many others from India, so your chances are honestly pretty low. You do stand out in the fact that you have published iOS apps and had an article published, but everything else seems pretty standard.

Also, if your SAT isn’t above 2300 you’ll be in trouble. I know, that sucks, but that’s just how competitive MIT is for international students.

Also, you really, really, really should try to be an international olympiad winner/receiver. You want those medals. Go for Intel (ISEF) or any other such international competition for research.
