Here we are :D

Apps are all due in a couple days and I don't think another thread like this exists for this year's RD!

How are you all feeling?! What major are you planning to get into?! I'm thinking of AE!

Let's talk.

Apps are all due in a couple days and I don't think another thread like this exists for this year's RD!

Let's talk.

Hey! I’m planning to go into engineering (undecided but am leaning towards computer/electrical). Honestly from now, it just depends on the flip of the coin in my opinion. The three month wait is going to be long Good luck to everyone!

I enjoyed completing the MyMIT app XD compared to some other supplements which I still need to finish up ~_~

I don’t know how to feel. BioE

@Rishy

It’s like that for many people. Flip of a coin.

Also, I’m leaning towards AE but I’m also considering BioMed

Go AE!

Good luck you guys!

I’m totally Econ. I wish MIT admissions were separated for each departments because I have no science AP or accomplishments related to Science. Lot of my ECs were mainly poli-econ focused.

Is anybody else having a problem with submitting part 2 of their application?
I keep getting errors :(

Jesus, hitting “send” on these applications is the most nerve-racking thing in the universe.

I’m not able to access the site! arghh I was just posting all my finalized essays.

Is this happening for everyone, or just a few?

It’s happening to everyone. The server’s down.

It’s going to be nerve racking on Pi Day though. I’m going to have computer access in school when the results come out and some of my friends are going to be surrounding me D; I even get a bit nervous thinking about it now!

@Rishy Wow!

What we do for my group of friends, we all go to a Wendy’s that is nearby to check admission results. We have been there for both Harvard and UChicago results and almost got kicked out from 2 acceptances to UChicago!

I’ve applied to MIT from Singapore. I intend to major in Course 2-A at MIT :D

And no, I’ve managed to submit Part 2 of the application xD

Internationals really shouldn’t expect anything from MIT like me. 3% acceptance rate for internationals is crazzy. Sucks to be internationals.

That’s a bit unnecessary

^ vulpe I agree.

If internationals shouldn’t expect anything, I wonder why they get accepted

/logic

AE or physics for me. Really, anything that can get into space related stuff, I’m a NASA type of guy.

only 150 students out of 4500 international applicants are accepted in MIT. 3% admission rate is so low that international applicant shouldn’t expect admission, otherwise, s/he would be very disappointed. Our school, located in Canada) had never sent a single student to MIT, and quiet a few very bright students were devastated when they got rejected from their dream school, MIT.

What, is that not true for all applicants? If you account for the relative stable size of the admitted class, for the international part of an accepted class being nearly a fixed amount of 150, and the 650 already accepted in EA, the effective acceptance rate for domestic RA applicants will come out to something close to 5% this year.
