Deferred. They sure love deferring people lol. I’m not even seriously considering MIT for RD, I’ll just focus on my more realistic/target choices right now.
we try to deny as many people as possible. but a lot of people who apply are really good, and are honestly people we want to keep around for regular.

The acceptance to Caltech could have possibly been chalked up to chance. The acceptance to Caltech AND MIT is basically undeniable proof that God exists.
