@equality4all Yes, PSBB is a school in India. I’ve heard that they also have ties with RSI.
This has probably been asked before but how many deferred students does MIT accept
It depends, they say like 100 to 300.
I’m applying RD to MIT for linguistics in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Will I be able to switch majors to Computer Science (or double major in linguistics and computer science) if I choose to do so?
@MIT2022 Yup! You don’t have to declare your major/course until your second semester
Thank you! @dancinginastorm
No problem! @MIT2022
Submitted my app a few days ago. Good luck everyone!
So everyone now is exactly on the same boat. EA admitted/deferred and all RA applicants…now everything is in the hands of the admission officers and all we have left is the FUN form.
For my letter of recommendations, I requested them through Naviance and both say that they are submitted on Naviance. However, it says that they are not submitted on MyMIT. Is there something I need to do on MyMIT to connect it with my Naviance? Do I have to request the evaluation through MyMIT too?
@dino123 I actually had the same problem, but I contacted my college counselor and she confirmed everything is in but they apparently don’t update that one page where it shows the recs if you’ve submitted through Naviance. So, MIT does accept things through Naviance, don’t worry, everything is probably in. I would confirm with your college counselor though, just to make sure.
My test scores arent that great for MIT, but I really do think my essays were reflective of who I am. Probability says I won’t get in, but I tried my best. Good luck to everyone that was deferred or is applying RD.
Anyone else feel that MIT’s overall word limits are too small? I wanted to talk more in all of the essays, I wish I had bit more space.
@equality4all yup, I had to crunch all my essays down to fit the word limit which sucked. There’s not really much they can do though, with so many applicants
Does anyone know how to send in an update to MIT regarding a recent accomplishment?
I would like to know that as well.
@asaltyattic @Anonymous1418 You can use the FUN form
Not a good sign for a MIT that you are asking this. It is very clear how to do that if you simply go to your MyMIT page.
@MITChris , my nefew got straight A in high school year. He got a bad flu and messed up his mid-term on math, Cal BC in his senior year. This lower his math average of 89 now. Will it lower his chance to get into MIT at RD?
@MITChris Should I include my December SAT score in the FUN form (I applied early)?
