<p>Yay for last chance thread ever. Please chance for MIT because I am worried.</p>

-GPA: 4.0 unweighted/4.26 weighted (highest in my grade)
-SAT: 730 CR/800 MA/800 WR (11 essay) (2 sittings)
-ACT: 36 E, 36 M, 35 R, 35 S, 10 Essay (2 sittings)
-SAT II: 800 Math 2 / 760 Chem
-APs: Calc BC/AB subscore = 5; four 4's
-Rank: technically 1 out of 440 but doesn't rank
-Senior course load: 5 APs, 1 elective
-School type: large public
-According to Naviance, 6 people applied from my school; 1 applied/accepted EA</p>

-AP Scholar with Distinction
-National Merit SF --> Finalist
-Presidential Scholars Candidate
-Top 30 in state math contest

-Science Olympiad (9-12) varsity team 4x; 7 state medals; 3x national competitor
-Math Club/Mu Alpha Theta (9-12); president/founder; lots of community service (books/math workbook drives, math night at elementary school etc.)

-Miscellaneous music awards (local) (i've played piano since age 5; i won a competition in feb. (performed on marimba) so i put that on my midyear report) / accompanist for school musicals

<p>MIT is always a reach, but I bet you’ll get in! Great states, and congratulations on a fantastic HS career even if you aren’t accepted. </p>

<p>Wishing you the best! Hopefully, it’ll be good news! Honestly, don’t worry too much about it, whatever happens, will happen for a reason. MIT is a great school, but it’s not necessarily a great fit for everyone and the admissions staff take that into account.</p>
