So as you all likely know, MIT’s requires that financial aid documents be turned in by February 15th and their website said that award amounts will be available in mid-March.
My IDOC documents were processed on Feb 3rd, and I just received an email today saying:
“We have reviewed your application for financial aid for the 2017-2018 academic year. Your award is now ready to be viewed on MyMIT.”
This confused me for a few reasons.
- The processing time was considerably faster than what I’ve heard of regarding any other college
- The fact that their website says it will be available in mid-March
- My MyMIT portal does not actually show my award amount (But it did update such that it now asks me to complete the “MIT Student Information Review Form” in order for my award to be finalized.
Does anyone have any info about this? Is this just a bug?
