Has anyone contacted the organizer? Their website still has Speakers and Panelists as of 2017. No Update!
still haven’t heard anything. i sent in a contact form asking for updates but still haven’t heard back. hopefully we can hear from them soon!!
Competitors last year were contacted about finalists on the 27th of February so they are indeed running quite late.

Does anyone know if this competition is still running this year? The submission forms are still open, even though the team says that they are no longer accepting submissions, and the website hasn’t updated. It’s also less than a month until the finals, and I can’t get a response from the organizers. It’s like being ghosted…
The longer the wait the more the plane tickets are going to cost. That is assuming one’s paper makes it to the finals 
i sent in a contact form almost a week ago, still haven’t heard back. i know in the middle of the week mit was most likely off because of the noreaster that we had, but im still surprised that there’s been nothing. hopefully they contact people soon, especially for the sake of people who aren’t a driving distance from the school!!
Because of where the Easter holiday falls I believe college midterms are this week and break next week for the students running the competition. That would probably explain the delay.
@StreenaSkywalker Does that mean that we may not hear until the students running the competition are back from break? Even if we make the finals, I’m not sure that’s enough time for my teachers to get approval from the school for us to go…

Glad to see I’m not the only one panicking today that they are not responding whatsoever even after I contacted them twice. Plane tickets will be ridiculous soon
Semi off topic, but based on past competitions where I had to take a plane to get there, the plane tickets are cheapest on Tuesdays
i just googled it, mid terms seem to be during next week, and are followed by spring break on the 26th, so as far as i understand they’re still at school
i’m lucky enough that i live crazy close to the campus, but for the students who have to miss multiple days of school and get plane tickets to get here time is really crunching!
Hi guys! I recently contacted one of the MIT Inspire team members through facebook, and although Sarbari is no longer directly involved with Inspire, she informed me that she would communicate with president, Ethan Vo, and the vice-president, Seeta Salgia Patel and pass on my concern about when finalists would be announced. She said that they would contact me through email within the next few days.

This is getting to be a little very aggravating. Hopefully, we get some answers within the next few days. Otherwise, many of us likely will either have to jump the gun or just not go.
Honestly it’s kind of frustrating… I’m considering not going at all even if I do get accepted
