Anybody took one before? Any tips? I am just wondering if being from halfway round the world, the alumni might ask slightly different stuff than what I find online about interviews conducted in the states.

Be yourself. It’s on the spot. Some general questions about why you chose MIT and why should MIT accept you. Life Goals. Etc etc. Hypothetical situations. As is obvious, it depends a lot on your interviewer and their mood. It was quite fun :D

I had my interview for another college. The questions are very general. As far as the difference in the Educational system is concerned you might have to clarify it at the beginning if the interviewer is inexperienced. Other wise it’s more of a casual discussion than an “interview”. So just have fun with it. Best of luck !
