Did anyone else get an MIT Interview in New Delhi?

There is a huge thread on this on the India forum:)

Can you link me? What I read was some of them were waived off by the admissions committee. But MIT’s offering interviews in New Delhi now. Did anyone get one?

That’s a very old thread. Now MIT is offering interviews in New Delhi!

How can they offer interviews now? I thought you get your EC’s details before you submit your app.

Some applicants were contacted by ECs recently.

I don’t see why they would selectively interview “some applicants” when they stress that the interview is an integral part of the application for everyone. I don’t think that’s how MIT goes about this process. Are you sure? Did you get an offer for an interview? Or is it just hearsay?

I got interviewed.

As per my status page in MIT
my interview has been waived.

Any other place where interviews are being offered?

So it is the ECs who are contacting? No way to request for an interview?

Are they interviewing selectively? Can you tell us your stats, as much as you see appropriate?

@anunay can you please tell some basic stats, some major achievements etc so that atleast we would know if they are selectively interviewing or not.
