MIT Rescind?

I am in a weird and scary position. I missed information on the February Update Form that I dropped out of my AP Physics 2 class on January 15th because I wanted to take more time to learn Calculus based physics on my own that is not offered in my school nor the quality in which Physics should be taught. I TRULY did not mean to miss this information nor did I want to withhold this information. I was already 7 days late in submitting my February Update Form, and I was in a bit of a rush and my absence in that class had begun to feel like the norm. I am still unsure if I had included that information within the form. I realized this dreadful fact through my recent admission to the university. Would MIT rescind my admission due to this idiocy of mine?

Just go ahead and update them now.

already did.

Let them know immediately. Give them your reasoning. You certainly should have checked before you did this but all you can do now is inform MIT.

Then you’re fine. You probably should have asked MIT in advance if there would be a problem with your dropping the class, but that’s water under the bridge. If they have an issue at this point, and I doubt they will, they would ask you to take a summer class or something, but they won’t rescind.

okay. thank you
