My counselor claims to have submitted my transcript along with the SSR and Counselor Recommendation on Oct 29th. However, the MIT portal still claims that it is missing. I have waited 10 business days, then contacted the MIT admissions office but I have not gotten any response. I have just emailed them again but… what to do?
Also, I still haven’t gotten any request for interviews, most likely because the transcript is missing. I really want to hold an interview though… Is it too late to schedule one?
You know what, I am exactly going through the same situation as yours. It has been very stressing! But, I feel that it may soothe you a little as it did me: please go to MIT admission website, and you will notice that they modified their announcement that read “All documents require processing! Please allow at least 15 business days for materials to be processed and show as received on your status page.”
So, here you are. They are requesting another five days to process our documents!
We had the same issue but called them and it turned out my kid had a duplicate account. The school stuff had been added to one account and my kid’s completed app was in another account. MIT said they would merge the accounts and we should check the portal again in a few days to confirm everything looked good.
Yep, it processed by the 15th business day. My counselor did resend the transcript though, just in case. But I’m not sure if the transcript went through because he resent it or because it just took a long time to process. Sorry for the late update. Hope it works out for you too!
