I do A-Levels (British system), and I'm planning on applying to MIT as a transfer (I'll be a freshman this fall). Anyway, my grades were: A*AAB, in the B I missed an A by 1 mark, so I will order a remark and hopefully it's an A :s But if things don't work out, will this one B totally screw up my chances of getting in? As it is MIT Transfer is close to impossible

You must remember that MIT transfer requirements are through the roof. For engineering transfers, for example, you must complete three SAT tests, two of which are in a science and math focus. Not to mention, their acceptance rate for transfers is also nearly non-existent.

Being a foreign national may be good or bad, but look up those transfer requirements for yourself.
