my case is very similar to yours!
for me it was also an incredible experience just appliying to MIT… but I’m hopping for finaid also… double prayer! hahaha
can’t believe it’s april 8 and we still do not have any reply :S - i’m so anxious-

Well, it’s almost 5:30pm here on the East Coast, so looks like we’ll be spending this weekend in trepidation…

@ vanessaserrano
That’s why I am happy to be here. I am in the group of people with same thoughts. Double Triple prayers for admission and finaid.

Indeed miss, with every passing moment, I am getting crazy… huff… Its 2:19 p.m here in Pakistan. :)

I am not worrying abt the decision, because at the moment I am absorbed by preparation to midterms. (To forget headache, cut your finger !!! Haha)
But yeah, it would be nice to learn the result asap.

The suspense is killing me, I feel like I’m in limbo until the decisions come out. Even though the chances are slim, if I’m just the last person they decide on, I’ll be in! I’m not exactly sure where I’ll be living next year or about anything at this point… !

Midterm for me tomorrow morning, Murphy’s law says decisions come out tomorrow morning…

Nice guy that Murphy :)))

Hey guys and girls, I received a letter from Claes Nobel, Chairman of “The National Society of High School Scholarships.” The letter reads as: (I live in away from my home city. The letter was quoted to me by my little bro in the form of texts. Kindly ignore layout.)

So, does this letter means that I’ve got admission in MIT?

Please respond with the best of your knowledge.

Regards.

It’s a scam and has nothing to do with MIT. Please see http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/39022-national-society-high-school-scholars.html (and obviously, don’t give them any money).

@ elizabeththegrey

([The National Society of High School Scholars](http://www.nshss.org))

I will not respond unless I am guided completely about it.

I am confused :S

Are you guys sure that the decisions come out in early April 2011? or 2012? :D

So much for trying to invoke Murphy’s Law. Midterm was annoyingly hard. No decision as of yet :/

@alicmi254

Pretty much everyone in this forum got that letter. I was first confused, even excited for how fancy the invitation was, but forget it, it’s just Scam. I doubt it has anything to do with MIT admission.

i’m starting to think perhaps they are trying to drive us crazy! hahaha…
( i want and answer…)

I can’t decide if I want it to come or not – I am so torn! I rush to my computer every chance I have to check my email but, once I click on my email, I automatically think “Oh ****, I hope it isn’t there yet! I’m not ready to be rejected!”

I received an e-mail from MIT today:

"Hello,

We hope to email all decisions by the end of the week, but we do not have an exact date at this time.

Sincerely,
MIT Transfer Admissions "

So, our agony will end this week =)

Thanks, vitormori :)

Thank you very much vitormori :).

Echoing, elizabeth and sal, thanks vitormori but AGH! Nerves setting in!

@ Everyone

Thanks you people. I would not have known what to do. I would have succumbed to that scam. My family was in a state of utter joy when they got that letter. :)) Thankfully, I told them it’s a fake.

Thanks again. :)

And special thanks to you ‘vitormori’ for sharing that e-mail with us.

How long are they going to make us wait. Make it a go, no go. I am tired of being excited. :-|
