<p>Did you guys get the email from MITES about the SSP program? Are you going to apply?</p>
<p>I had decided to apply to SSP before I got an email. The deadline was March 2, isn’t it too late now? Or maybe I didn’t get the email from mites…I got some email though from the director of SSP telling me to apply (after I had already applied to SSP and they had notified me that they had gotten my application…)</p>
<p>SSP costs about $4000 do I’m probably not going to apply.</p>

<p>I figured out about it this week probably Wed or Thursday. It’s way to expensive though, I just got invited to the National YOuth Leadership Forum of Medicine and I really like it (but its $3k!), and it sounds more in my direction… Am I the only one who got a nomination?</p>

<p>Really? My friend went last year and loved it she went to the one at UC Berkeley, and she got to see an open knee surgery. From what I hear it’s mostly for the interest of the student NOT for colleges.</p>

<p>If I don’t get into either SSP or MITES I’ll be attending Stanford EPGY for the summer. I also applied to LEDA but now I’m having second thoughts about it…</p>
<p>Hopefully I will attend MITES, if not then Seattle Bioquest, and if not that then I will just request an independent study w/ a professor at UW.</p>
<p>I would love to attend MITES, but if I don’t, I also got accepted to Oklahoma’s Boys State Program today, and I’m trying to get some independent research at a local hospital.</p>
<p>I’m hoping to be accepted to a Fermilab program where you do research. </p>
<p>Otherwise, I was thinking of doing some research at UChicago or something.</p>
