<p>So are MITES, Carnegie Mellon's SAMS program, and TASP for minorities only? Such as African Americans, Hispanics...? As an Asian American, do these programs accept mainly African Americans?</p>
<p>TASP is open to everyone and does not have racial preferences, and I know mites is minority-only. I don’t know about SAMS.</p>
<p>MITES is mainly targeted to minorities, but anyone can apply. You’ll probably have a harder time getting in if you aren’t a minority though.</p>
<p>I think Asian American is still considered a minority. Just saying.</p>
<p>MITEs takes aisians, and rarely even a caucasion.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure MITES looks for minorities in the ENGINEERING field, which doesn’t count Asians, right? I’m not quite sure…</p>
