Hey, where do you get shirts that say Stanford on the front, and "Because not everyone can get into Cal" on the back? I think it'd be hilarious to wear one of those to admits weekend. Or would that be a bad idea?

I'll jump you from behind if you do. :D

except for the fact that that makes no sense considering it is much harder to get into stanford than cal

ahaha the real humor here is that you have to ask because in all actuality they don't exist...

yeah... that doesn't make sense, it's harder to get into stanford.

And yes, I will jump you.

Just something to keep in mind. :)

On a side note, I always figured that Cal must print t-shirts mocking Stanford, because we print Cal sucks shirts for Big Game. So I guess you can ask the Callie scum and they could probably point you in the right direction.

Or you could wear the one that says "Harvard, the Stanford University of the East." Do they still make it?

hey, that "because you can't get into Cal" T-shirt is actually made for MIT.

MIT vs. Cal, remember??

zzibuya is right, MIT vs. Caltech.

But if there's a Cal shirt like that for Stanford, I would TOTALLY wear it. In fact, us CCers could find each other like that...

^My friend has the shirt, and it is mit v. caltech. :)

i remember seeing an mit-harvard one as well.

You Know It....you Tell The Sotry....you Tell The Whole Damn World This Is Bear Territory!

That would be a pretty funny t-shirt except for one flaw: it's actually considerably easier to get into Berkeley (in-state of course) than Stanford. The Cal Tech vs. MIT joke works because they are both extremely selective, so it's not too difficult to imagine some MIT students who weren't admitted into Cal Tech. But to say that Stanford students couldn't get into Berkeley is a little far-fetched.

case in point, berkeley's my SAFETY SCHOOL. But I got into Stanford, so s'all good in the hood :)

I was accepted class of 2010 EA, fortunately CAL accepted me too... :)

Then why apply EA?

On a fairly recent survey from a few years ago (it's been on this board before and someone could pull it up), only about a third of students outside of California that applied to both schools and got into Stanford also got into Berkeley. There do exist some Californians who got into Stanford and not Berkeley- I know a few. But who cares.

I find it entertaining that everyone here is pointing out how it's harder to get into Stanford than Cal. I would think that's obvious, and also that it makes the (apparently non-existent) shirt much funnier, due to its irony. I also think that wearing a shirt like that on admit weekend would certainly be a nice diversion. ;)
