Maryann and maddie, can I just say that: I think we’re going to get along just fine because I too am madly OBSESSED with criminal minds?!

Anyway, sorry for the intrusion. I’m a prospie transfer but couldn’t help stopping by the regular decision thread. I hope we hear from Moho soon!

maddie okay so I am from VA and am sooo freaking excited about college. I am literally biting my nails so much bc the time to hear back is coming soo soo soon. you? Also pinkblossom that is great! Let us all know what happens :)

Hi~

Im a huge fan of the Warriors series

Im taking a gap year right now

Im a vegetarian + lactose intolerant. (So maybe Im an almost vegan?)

I think Tim Burton is awesome ^^

I love watching anime and Korean dramas

Im currently writing a novel

My intended major changes on a daily basis, lol

I love video games and WoW

Im super energetic and enthusiastic ^ω^

I got deferred ed1 from holyoke , it was my top choice and it was so disappointing.
What are the chances of getting accepted in RD after getting deffered? (for international)
I did apply to other places , but Id pick Holyoke over anywhere else.

i was deferred from ED2 rira17! I am staying hopeful because I felt so beautifully at peace at Mount Holyoke I am hoping to major in Psychology and complete the necessary Pre-Med classes and minor in Spanish or Environmental Studies I hope Friday is the day!!!

I know decisions probably won’t be up until Friday, but I keep checking the portal obsessively anyway. By now I have effortlessly memorized my username and password ^^

Mount Holyoke is awesome and I’m totally going there if I get accepted! Initially I applied to Smith EDII and was rejected, but Mount Holyoke was a super close second choice, so I will be equally psyched if I get accepted on Friday!

As for decisions, I’m 99% sure they’ll be released online on Friday around 7PM Eastern Time.

@rira17
I’m sorry you got deferred, but don’t be disappointed! Getting deferred is way better than getting rejected! I don’t know the exact acceptance of deferred applicants, but basically a deferral just means you’re considered with the RD instead of the ED applicants. So I think you have just as much chance as the rest of us! Keep your chin up, 'k? ^^

To pass the time while we’re waiting for decisions:
Where is everyone from?
Do you have any siblings/pets?
Hobbies?
Something funny and/or random you’d like to share?
If you could choose one thing only, what’s your favorite thing about Mount Holyoke?

I’m from CO. My family has a pug named Roxie, who’s the cutest, sweetest dog ever! I also have a little sister who’s going into high school next year, and I’m so proud and excited for her! Hobbies: anime, manga, video games, WoW, Korean dramas, writing, drawing, reading. On one of my college supplements, they asked, “If you could cook one thing for our admissions office, what would it be?” lol, weirdest supplement ever! As for my favorite thing about Mount Holyoke, I like that there are so many international students. But MoHo’s traditions come in as a close second!

Hi! Nice to meet you I’m from CA (NorCal woo!) and I have an older brother and a younger brother. As for pets I have two dogs, three cats (yes I am a cat lady), a bird, a horse, and a fish. I love film photography and anything outdoorsy! Hmm I have gotten into a habit of not making it to first period this semester (senioritis… ) and the thing I love most about mount holyoke is the community and accepting feeling that I get ther which doesn’t exist at my high school. However, having a barn on campus with a nationally ranked team is definitely a close second coming from an equestrian :)

I think I got deferred too, I never got any notification from the college though (my app got delayed because of missing files, then my ISIS said I was regular instead of ED–long story:)) anyway, i figured i should just be patient and wait.

I’m asian, so I really want to experience fall (those Massachusetts autumns made me love Mount Holyoke more)

I paint and write.

I love sci fi!

My favorite thing about Mount Holyoke would be the campus. It’s just so charming

What type of bird do you have? I used to have Zebra Finches! My favorite bird, little Twinkie, lived for almost a decade. I miss him But, I’m really glad he lived so long! He originally wasn’t expected to survive because he was born without a left foot, yet he ended up being my longest lived bird :)

Is film photography the same thing as lomography?

@Pipermaru
You mentioned that you’re Asian. Are you an international applicant? Where are you from? Also, I like to write, too! What type of things do you like to write?

@Bluecholeric
Hi, I remember you from the Smith forum! I was really disappointed, too, because being rejected sucked >_< But when I decided to apply ED, I had actually debated between MoHo and Smith. I’ve heard that each campus has a different “vibe” and I’ve never visited…so maybe getting rejected from Smith just means we’re a better fit for MoHo! ^^
