Molecular Engineering (MENG) Major Requirements

The first half of the major is nearly identical with that of a Chemistry or Biological Chemistry major. The second half can be modified to suit students who have preferences for either chemistry or physics, and the elective space, albeit meager, can potentially be spent on bioengineering coursework or more coursework in the physical sciences.

They finally came out with the requirements for the major.

So does the fact that there will be no ABET accrediation matter? Especially if I want an engineering job or grad school

Its hard to find a bio related job for an UG graguate with any bio related majors

I do not quite understand. Are you saying that Molecular Engineering is just a bio major and you need an advanced degree to get a job? As opposed to other engineering fields were a BS is fine

Any thing to do with material science/research requires advanced degrees, you maybe able to find some entry level technician jobs with an UG degree, but advancements in that field will require advanced degrees.
