i've seen the catalogue and biology major requires you to take chem1A,1B,3A,3B but molecular toxicology major requires you to take chem1A,3A,3B. on 3A pre-req says chem1A not chem1B!!
My question is.... 1A&B is general chemistry.. and 3A&3B is o-chem...
How can you not take 1B(Genreal chemII) and just take 3A(O-chem1)?
it does not make sense... I am a pre-dent student and this confuses me...(I need 1yr of gen chem and 0-chem)

Because you don't need to know chem1B stuff for intro o-chemo classes.
A common path to fulfill the chem requirement in Berkeley is:
1 yr gchem = chem 1A + chem3A
1 yr ochem = chem3B + mcb102

Yes, mcb102 is not really o-chem, if at all. Check with individual dental school to see what they accept.

I thought mcb 102 is biochemistry! and isnt it
1yr gchem=chem1A/1B
1yr ochem=chem3A/3B?

Most pre-meds use 1A/3A for gen chem and 3B/MCB 102 for organic chem (even though 102 is biochem). As HypnosX mentioned, check with the dental schools you're applying to.

any pre-med/dent students??!!!
