Moms and One-liners

Nurseypoo .. did you know there were special rules about what Moms could post and where on College Confidential. I understand one of them is no one-liners.

So perhaps we need our own thread.

Word! Word up!

are you happier today?

Yeah, beside the brownie fiasco, it's better. I think I was really tired yesterday. Bone tired.

Now, people are asking very detailed questions about the boy's future experiences and as I explain to them (what little I know) it becomes more and more real.

Lunch w/ Lola today?

I wish I was a mom so I could participate. :(

Oh, wait! :D

Zaphod,

You know you are welcome anywhere on here! I'll make you an honorary mom.

 :p:

Z .. honestly, you are invited! Put your Mom hat on and join in the one-liners.

Can I play here too?!!

One line is hard for me though - I'll try - Typically I get to wordy though - just jab me in the ribs if I get to wordy for this thread, my H does it all the time! Is there a 'talkers annonymous?"

Can I join too! I do not mind all your posts. They is always information in every statement.

Of course!

Please try not to keep it to one line. It makes me look bad when I go on, and on, and on.

Talker's anonymous? No, I would just say that you are an auditory learner and that's your style.

I am a Dad though and I live in the deep south. No city life here. Son drives 18 miles to school and the daughter has a 34 mile one way trip to school. Country living at its best. When he leaves, it will be stream city.

When you say stream city, you mean copious amounts of tears flowing?

Georgia is well represented today!

Welcome Dad RJ2011 and Mom Momofhopefull too!

Thought we could go elsewhere rather then bore the West Pointers (I think that is where those 2 were from with the MOM issues).. I am thinking they have deeper issues with MOMMYs than we could address here. Perhaps a Freud Thread is needed for that! HA

one line? you mean I have to limit my responses to one line? oh my...

You are all soon to be USNA parents, right? I'm a soon to be AFA mom.

This is my youngest so it'll be lonely when she's gone. Gonna have to get a hobby! A BIG hobby (maybe flying to Colorado with a huge camera for lots of "scenery" shots. Then I can use these "scenery" shots in my brand new and currently empty Air Force scrapbook?! ha ha ha - I bet D would have a fit - can't you just picture me in my Sherlock Holmes get up with a camera trying to take photo's for future use?! She'd have my hide (and she'll hvae the training to get my hide real good too!) Guess I'll be patient and do the photo's over parents weekend at AFA! Digital Cameras are awesome! Can't wait to compare notes with Navy folks!

A manly man amount of tears. I have driven him everywhere for years. There was never a go next door to play. Drive, pick up, call is the standard practice. Always know where they are.

Tears from either parent is cool. My husband hasn't shed one; the deluge will come.

Oh, word of advice for everyone. Don't use Splenda in certain brownie recipes. The world comes to an end and your brownies don't rise (mine were pancake style). I feel the need for a Kleenex brand tissue.

Hey MomofHope.. Has your d recieved her appt yet?

We USNA Plebes to be moms/dads do need to get to know the USADA Moms/Dads to be! :)

Scrapbooking.. so hard to keep up with those here! And now we have to start a whole new group of them!

RJ .. did you all get any freezing rain yesterday?
