I really want to attend Brandeis. I am leaning towards UW madison over Brandeis because of money. UW Madison is a great school but I just think Brandeis will be a better fit for me. I come from a supermini school of 100 people from 9th-12th grade so I like how Brandeis offers small size classes and I am not into partying and I am very serious about academics. Also, because I am undecided as to my major, I think liberal arts program would suit me.
I am an international student and my parents earn enough to not qualify for the FA or whatever but not enough to afford the 4 year tuition. My parents tell me that I can go to Brandeis if I really want to and they will figure out a way to deal with all the debt but I feel so bad and I just can’t do that… so I think I will go to UW Madison which costs about 20000 less.
Do you think it’s possible for me to email Brandeis and ask if I could get some help with the tuition? or is this ridiculous and unfair to the other students?
If the difference of the cost between Brandeis and UW madison could be smaller, I’d choose Brandeis with no doubt but 20000 matters alot to my family.
Please help!

I think you and/or your parents could definitely get in touch with someone from Financial Aid and explain your particular situation - it can’t hurt and you will not be the only one in this situation.
Here is the information for contacting people:

Also, at least in the past, it’s been relatively easy, even for students without work study, to get jobs on campus eventually, so that’s another possibility.
