More Harry Potter books on the way?

It sounds more like she’s trying to move away from HP… doesn’t it?

Although, I do think a prequel would be very interesting.

A book about the original Order of the Phoenix would be interesting, given that they basically fail.

Other than that, I think any prequel would have to be something way back, like the founding of Hogwarts or something else mostly unrelated.

How hard would it be for Rowling to expand the HP Universe, without including Mr. Potter himself?

^^I like the idea of going way back to Hogwart’s founding.

I agree itsinreach. I would love to read about Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin.

Prequel during the Marauder’s Era. I do not want to hear about the next generation. I have yet to read a series that follows the main characters children that was any good.

The only good book in the HP series was the first one. The others were just wretched. It’s hard to believe Rowling has already run out of money… perhaps she just doesn’t know what else to do?

RE next generation: I still remember Tom & Jerry Kids.

^Seriously? She was clearly much more inexperienced while writing the first one. Plus, she had to spend all this time just setting things up (not in a good way either). I agree that some of the later ones got crazy (i.e. the 7th), but really, the first book?

don’t be offended, cranberry. He has no imagination, hence his name. lol

^^ Eh, it was a kids story. Kind of cheesy, yes, but still entertaining enough at the time. Then she started trying to make the stories appealing to adolescents (by making Harry obnoxious and pathetic) and overly dramatic (book 7, anyone?)

@CloudyCloud - I wasn’t necessarily comparing the two; I was saying that if they write more Harry Potter books, they will ruin the series and it will be just as good as Twilight (which is not good).

I think she should write a prequel about Voldemort’s childhood and education at Hogwarts.
