I know these are two completely different jobs but I'm interested in both. anesthesiologist and psychiatrist

Also, does anyone have info on being a biotech lawyer or genetic engineer?

Honestly, any help deciding between those four careers would help!

The first two require med school. The third would be law school. and the last I plan on getting a doctorate if I pursue it. All hard work, all I'm willing to do. I wish I could do all 4 but I have to choose and I'm stuck. It's driving me mad.

Shadow someone in all those careers, you’ll find out what you really love. :)

You don’t have to decide between anesthesiologist and psychiatrist now. All doctors attend four years of medical, during which time they are exposed to all areas of medicine (including anesthesiology and psychiatry) over the course of their rotations. Specialization takes place after medical school during residency.

I would not advise getting a PhD in biology (or most sciences) unless you absolutely, passionately want to work in a specific field of it and can’t imagine yourself doing anything else.

Biotech lawyer is a very general term and different areas of law will require different preparation.

Most intellectual property/patent attorneys have a PhD in science or engineering field as well as a JD.
