more than 3 sat2s = any improve in admission chances?

As of now, I have 3 sat subjects under my belt (math2 800 biom 750 ush720) and I am looking into taking another 2 in November (physics and japanese with listening). I can expect 780+ on both of them, giving the fact that I actually have time to study (yay summer) and I will be taking ap physics c next school year.

Now of course, the big questions is, should I bother? I am not planning on applying to any of the ivies/top20 at this moment (Save for possibly to Cornell, Rice, and CMU if I get that 34 on Sep ACT or 2200 in October SAT1). However I am applying to some of the competitive UCs (Berkeley, UCLA) with instate status. Now of course, people say that taking extra SAT2s would not help at all, but from my experience, it is not true with the private institutions (all 4 of the people I know in real life who got into harvard(only require 2 subject tests these days) had at least 4 sat2 subject tests). Again, if you were in my status, would you bother taking those 2 subject tests (and any reasoning behind it)?

2 800s would benefit you more than that 5 700s

I think Ivies/top schools only look at your highest scores. So the higher the score the better, if you think you can get a higher score, then do them. If not, I wouldn’t.

Definitely not, you need a higher ACT or SAT first.
