I applied to about 12 schools that I'll be using the FAFSA for. The form only gives 6 spaces. What do I do?

I have the same problem and the FAFSA website said to wait until after your FAFSA is processed, and then make a correction to your completed fafsa and send it to your other six schools. You should ask someone else just to make sure, though.

there were couple treads here on same subject, please look it up.
essentialy yes, wait until you get first SAR report and then go and correct it.
Once you get final numbers from your taxes, do same thing all over again

DO NOT change the FAFSA until the information has been downloaded by the first set of schools.

"At this point, the school(s) listed on your application have access to your information. The school(s) may put together or change an aid package based on your Expected Family Contribution and notify you."

Straight from the SAR, so you can change once you receive your SAR email notification

Just because the DOE gives access to the info doesn't mean that the schools have downloaded it. Double check with the schools.

Ok once you put info there it stays there and school can download latest version that has their name on it. Once you go and make corrections old schools won't receive this present info just the new schools you listed. So you send estimate to first 6 schools and then send it to second set of 6 schools. Once you receive correct numbers after your taxes done you do same thing all over again or call your finaid officess and ask them if you need to correct info / they might do it for you if you have to send them your tax forms anyway.
