<p>im really confused at how you can only submit to 6 colleges on the FAFSA.. someone told me that to add more schools, you have to wait for your SAR, go back to the FAFSA and delete your old schools before adding the new ones. however, when i received my SAR and went back to edit it, it says, "You can also select Delete This School to remove this Federal School Code from your application. Your FAFSA information will not be sent to this school if you delete the School Code from your application." should i disregard that and still delete the codes? i just want to make sure...</p>
<p>also, for one of the colleges im applying to (BU), they say that they've received my FAFSA but then they also say: FASFA CORRECTION REQUIRED

<p>If you've only done the FAFSA with estimated income numbers, and checked "will file taxes", your initial SAR (call it SAR1) will only go to your first six schools (call them Schools 1-6).</p>
<p>So in order to get SAR1 to Schools 7 - 10 (for example), you have to do a FAFSA correction, delete Schools 1-4, and insert Schools 7 - 10, and resubmit. Then in a couple days, Schools 7 - 10 get SAR1.</p>
<p>After taxes are done, you go in and correct FAFSA again to put in the correct income numbers. Send it, and SAR2 goes to whichever 6 schools you list. Then you need to go in AGAIN and correct it to include the other schools (if you're still interested in them), so THEY get SAR2.</p>
<p>It's all done with FAFSA corrections online.</p>
<p>But once it says the FAFSA was "processed" and you can edit it and delete schools, but the schools you deleted WILL have already been sent the first version of the form... right?? this is sooooo confusing!! I wish they would let you submit more than 6 schools!</p>
<p>I think best to wait a few days to get the SAR, to ensure that it's gone to the schools. Don't know if FAFSA being "processed" means the same thing, or not.</p>
<p>OK here's my problem. I thought that the taxes were ready to go in the mail so I checked, "already filed." In reality we are still waiting for one document. it shouldn't change anything but we wanted the exact number. Now I need to add the last 2 schools. Can I still go back and correct the first group even though I said that I already filed?</p>
<p>I checked "will file", and then when I did file, none of my numbers were incorrect. Should I still go back and resend the "corrected" FAFSA, just changing that one box?</p>
<p>Yes. Otherwise the school will consider their finaid offer tentative. Change it to "have filed" and they will finalize the offer, and open the coffers.</p>
<p>Have you guys received any mail after you applied for FASFA? My app was processed 2/5 but i still have not received anything in the mail yet.....</p>
