Thank you you for answering my question. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed. We would find out by email?
@Jomiberg I hear the final notices go out at the end of February. The Distinction level award had interviews last weekend.
@Jomiberg - I was notified by email.
I heard that several students were notified about receiving the Distinction Award. Does anyone know if they do that all at once, or if more notifications may be coming?
I just got an email that says I got excellence. I wish I could keep the provost too.
Got a call telling me I received it.
Has anyone gotten a rejection response yet? Scared that they’re leaving all the people who didn’t get it for the very end.
@ensiii Congratulations
@Buckeye22 , I was notified around the same time as CamCam2022. But the guy actually called and talked to us to reveal the news.
@ensiii , what are you interested in pursuing as a career?
I’m just curious… How many of you that have currently gotten an award have also either gotten Honors or Scholars? I think this is part of the reason that I don’t think I’ll get an award from Morrill. Also, we hear back by mid-March now and I have a very strong feeling that all the rejections come at the end when all the awards have already been distributed.
@slingam00 Admitted to International Affairs Scholars program
Congratulations to all of you. Incredible accomplishments Think about this for a minute. Getting accepted to OSU is not a given by any stretch of the imagination. Every year it gets more and more competitive That was the first hurdle. Then getting accepted into this selective group is just a blessing. There is so much wisdom from everyone here.
We did not apply to either Honors or Scholars, perhaps that could be the reason that the Distinction interview or scholarship was not extended. At the time of application we just were not sure about either options. We are thrilled to be part of Buckeye Nation and fortunate to have been selective. For all of you still waiting, please hang in there. Many people were notified well into the month of March.
Thanks a ton @camcam2022, congrats to you too.
@Formation I’ll likely be attending for CS/Math, choosing one or both has been difficult. What do you intend on pursuing?
@ensiii , I am going for International Relations & Political science. Condoleezza Rice is my role model and would like to model after her. Where would you like to work? Or for what type of companies?
Are you male or female?
@ensiii , check this out:

@1917souci , Hey I am not in Honors College or the Scholars program and I had won the distinction scholarship.
Also, I am upset at myself for not applying to scholars. But the good news is that after your first semester you can transfer into Honors College if you meet the requirements.
Although I regret not applying to scholars there are so many other opportunities: like the STEP program, Buckeye Leadership Fellow Program. John Glenn New Leadership program or WAIP that I can take advantage of. So all is not lost.
Hello all, fyi my oos daughter got accepted on February 2, 2018. I was losing hope, she also applied for morrill.
Did anyone at this time last year receive the scholarship or were only rejections left by this point?
@jaysoneric8 hello! I applied to Ohio State through rolling action. I submitted a 29 ACT at first but I just sent in a 31 this morning. I got accepted this morning. Can I still be considered for the scholarships even though I was accepted through rolling action?
