Just got the call! Couldn’t be happier!
@mom1girl I think she is planning on doing the early arrival. Exactly what you mentioned is a great part of it. Just so curious about all the details and not much info online. So glad more people are getting calls. Was wondering how many students receive distinction.
@Ballet13 I read in previous year posts that Distinction covers tuition,room/board, books, and “allowance” . If that is accurate this is an amazing opportunity for our children. My daughter wants to take advantage of the 500 travel stipend and visit soon. Congrats still pinching ourselves in Florida
FYI - just received an email stating that “The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) has now completed its thorough review of your application materials for the Morrill Scholarship Program (MSP), and, unfortunately, the review committee did not select you to receive an MSP award.” So, now we all know where we stand. Oh well, it was worth a try. Congratulations to those who got the award, best of luck!
I got the same email
Same rejection email here
No email yet her but expecting it.
@itsgettingreal17 decisions are supposed to continue through mid-March so you might not hear back yet
I called Morrill office today and they said everyone will hear a yes or no by first week in March.
Thanks for the great info!
However, since the financial aid info is said to be coming out soon, if the morill scholarship isn’t listed on there does that mean it’s a no? Or would they call/email saying you didn’t recieve it directly?
They indicated that you would know for sure yes or no – so I’m not sure if that is coming in the form of an email or snail mail .
Has anyone received their official scholarship award letter yet other than the phone call?
@ballet13 my daughter has not received an official letter; however, when she logs into her buckeyelink on financial aid it shows the Distinction scholarship in her financial aid award letter.
@Zippehsmom Thank you and just saw same there.
“Scholarship recipients will be notified via email from the Office of Student Financial Aid indicating there has been a change to your financial aid award. You are encouraged to review your Award Summary often found on Buckeye Link. Log in and click on “View Financial Aid” to find the Award Summary tab.”
To add replenish hope to those who have lost it, even if the award is not in you financial aid at first, it may be added in later if changes are made. Hope this helps someone!
@elvviiaa You made my day, thanks so much for the info!
Daughter has still not received an Morrill rejection email. Are there others in the same boat?
