What are the most attractive New England college campuses? I mean the buildings, the campus, the views and the surrounding towns/cities.

Amherst and Bowdoin (in my opinion)

Bowdoin and Middlebury hands-down

IMO, Dartmouth has the quintessential New England college look. Boston College is very impressive. The University of Vermont architecture isn’t unusual, but the view can’t be beat.

Anybody familiar with The College of the Atlantic?

Middlebury, Colby, Williams, Dartmouth.

Mount Holyoke, Holy Cross, Wellesley, Bennington, and College of the Atlantic are on the list!

Yale’s main campus is beautiful, and some of the residential colleges are just amazing-looking. (Think Branford, the ultimate in academic gothic.)

Harvard and Brown are both very attractive in the same “New England historic district” way.

Wellesley has been described as looking like Narnia. Bowdoin is very pretty, and located in a very pretty town. Dartmouth is gorgeous, with magnificent trees and buildings.

I really disagree with Princeton as most beautiful campus. (What were they thinking?)

I haven’t actually seen more of The College of the Atlantic than you can see from the road driving by, but it is on Mt. Desert Island, which is one of the most beautiful places on the east coast.

We need PICTURES ppl. lol

I haven’t seen them all, but I sure thought Colgate was beautiful. Williams, too.

Williams has wonderful surroundings, but I’d never describe the buildings (generally speaking) as beautiful. Luckily, they are leveling the library (a total eyesore).

Mount Holyoke is magnficent, in a Harry Potter sort of way.

The site of Bennington may be the most beautiful. It’s just what the humans have done with it.

Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Bowdoin, Williams.
