Most competitive school in Northwestern??

soundguy2009, I'M FROM DAYTON TOO! =)

Hope you get in!

nutterbutter, does SoC require an audition for people who want to major in theatre? Just curious.

nope. Northwestern is non-audition which i LOVE because then the people who surround me would not only be talented performers but truly INTELLIGENT PEOPLE:)

Well you seem to be the better applicant from what I can see.

Let's just hope we both get in... I'm sure I'll be hearing from you and everybody else who's waiting over the next week... Good luck!

Thanks soundguy~
I really hope everybody gets in D:
It is the holiday season after all T_T

me too!!! :) i feel like if we are accepted [KNOCK ON WOOD] the question i'll be asking everyone in class is, "hey, were you on CC?" HAHAH

@nutterbutter - I've never posted my stats before actually so I have no idea. I'm told that people with stats like ours can be significantly helped by applying ED, but that's about all I can tell you...

@sondosia - Do you mind if I ask what school in Dayton? I go to Miami Valley in theWashington Township/Centerville area... It's crazy to find another NU ED app from Dayton on CC...

soundguy2009 - I live in Beavercreek and go to Beavercreek High School. I only know of one person at my school who's applying to NU but I think it's really just a reach for him...he's definitely not stalking CC like I am. =)

It'd be so cool if we both got in!

And yeah, I didn't think I'd find anyone from Dayton on here either. :D

Heh... I was born in Beaver Creek and am applying ED, though I now live in the Chicagoland area.

For the theatre applicants-when they say 100 people-it breaks down to roughly 50 men/50 women. DD is in the theatre program-loves the creative students who are also intellectually stimulating-not a "dummy" in the bunch. Not sure what the stats are for incoming freshman-she was like you-VERY involved in theatre, as well as validictorian, 4.0 UW GPA, strong SATs, AP scholar w/all 5's. She works w/several students as an actor for their films, as well as the live theatre. She is in "heaven"-albeit a bit cold...G'Luck to you!

Ahhh, I applied Medill... and I was THIS close to R/TV/F. I actually had that first and changed it. It was a really tough choice. I hope it was the right one.

It was either R/TV/F or Undecided for me xD

Haha, I should literally major in "undecided." I'm the most indecisive person ever.

Crap. I selected "theater" because I thought it would give me a better chance of getting in than r/t/f. I'm screwed.

...Does it help any that I'm going for theater design/production and not acting?

If you made it clear in your application that theater is important to you, i don't see why you're more worried than if you applied to,say, r/t/f.

Because only 50 girls get accepted into the theater program.

Do I think I'm in the top 2000 (or so) freshman applicants this year? Probably, yes.

Do I think I'm in the top 50 girls applying to the theater program? Maybe not.

oh **** seriously? I'M APPLYING TO THEATRE. now i'm nervoussss. AGH... i don't know if i'm in top 50... will someone chance me pleaseeee for theater??? my stats are in the "tis the season to chance"thread...

Hm.
The 50 spots are not only for ED but RD as well, right?
So does that mean there's even less spots for ED?

oh holy ****. i don't even want to think about this right now.

haha. CC monitors my potty-mouth.
