Clicked on comments of the article to see expected usc vs. ucla flamewar, was not disappointed.

The comments are the best part of this article.

Hilarious article. Definitely worth the read. Was not disappoint.

Made my day. Thank you.

The fact that U$C isn’t on that list automatically discredits it. Someone please explain to me how Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, and Westwood are more dangerous than Compton and South Central?

What a whiner.

notaznguy, the fact that you’re trying to take this list seriously when even the trojans realize it is a joke doesn’t make UCLA look any better. The amount of irony in that link is too damn high…

Great article. The comments were the best part, for sure.

FWIW, when USC and UCLA were first built, UCLA was essentially in an empty field. Over the years, the characteristics of the neighborhoods flipped. My mom (Bruin) told me that, when she was a student, she was afraid to go into the botanical gardens because there was supposedly a rapist who hung out in there. On the flip side, my dad (Trojan) was scared to set foot off campus after dark.

The best thing anyone can do in any neighborhood is remain cautious and don’t do anything stupid.

When I was at USC, there were shootings in Westwood on a regular basis, as gangbangers took it over. I’m not at all surprised and the Clery Act stats back up the article.

The Bruin PR machine fights back:

[UCLA a dangerous campus? Don’t believe it / UCLA Newsroom](Newsroom | UCLA)

Bruins will always be whiners.

Not only is UCLA the most dangerous campus in America, UC Berkeley is the second most dangerous, according to that report, which is based on Clery Act statistics that focus on violent crimes such as rape and assaults and batteries on campus.
