Most despised subject by premeds

I hear Chemistry is the most disliked subject by people interested in medicine.

Thoughts? Any premeds care to chime in?

Seeing that lots of pre-meds are chemistry majors, it's not the case for everyone. :D

That being said, I detested Orgo II. Physics II was not my thing, either. Of course, I took both at once, so that probably made the unpleasantness worse.

If I may ask, why are you wondering if pre-meds hate chemistry?

Haha its just a curiousity (and the fact that I am swamped with chem homeowork :) )

My mother, MD, and one of my teachers (former premed) said they hated chemistry so i wanted to see if it was a common dislike...

calculus for sure

Foreign Language For sure

Undergrad:
Physics II because of the material.

Biochem I b/c of the professors.

(organic sucked but I liked the prof enough to make up for it)

Medical School:
Acid/base physiology - particularly the renal side of it all - hate the material and the prof is substandard.

Chemistry, especially electrochem and acid/base.

I am dreading the english classes that I'd have to take.

I was a chemistry major. I loved it! Before I went to medical school, I seriously considered going to grad school for chemistry. But, I always liked problem solving and logic rather than memorizing... that's probably why I picked neurology as a field. :)

I like chemistry.

Foreign language and calculus is a pain.

I know this makes me sound like a nerd, but I didn't despise any of my undergraduate courses. At times, Chemsitry was challenging, but I ended up doing well, especially in organic.

In med school the most difficult course was Anatomy. I think because I am lousy in art, and the course was very visual.

Calculus is not a pain at all. In fact, it's the best pre-med course in terms of easiness.

Organic chemistry.
