Most effective way to get a 750 in Chem

Hey, I need a 750 in chem on the June 7th test date. I have the barrons book and will be going over it one chapter a day and then taking 6 practice tests. I am currently in a honors class and getting 85's.

Past test takers, please give me advice on how to reach my goal and some tips/tricks that are useful. I really need this score as I am looking to get into a competitive program. ** Help Me Please **

Know your chemistry, there is no excuse. If you "know" how to do every question, then just practice a lot by doing as many practice tests as you can. However, if you are still shaky on concepts, then go over chapters. Practice is what will get you it, unless you really know your chemistry.

how many is need for a 750?......as in how many right/wrong or skipped?

Bump need some help...

Do as WantIvy says. Know the chemistry and do you your best. There are no tips, tricks or shortcuts that will help better than that. Practice and study are the best tips.

what are some good ways to study? how much per night? I am able to dedicate a lot, just need help creating a study plan. Can anyone help with that?

the best time to study is in the morning.
your brain and eyes are refreshed after a great REM cycle.

:D
a great tip would be to take a tablet, and summarize the book.
writing helps imprint information into your brain.

make your own flashcards

Thanks I will study in the mornings. Lolcats, what should I put on the flashcards?

i think they call it "information". Put facts about topics ure unsure of.

I wouldn't expect a better response from someone who was crying about chemistry a few weeks ago.

My question was, do I put formulas, definitions, or something else.

i think sparknotes has flashcards.
they are really helpful :]

good way of seeing what you know and dont know.

^Thanks. I'll go check it out.

I couldn't find the flash cars? Anyone know a link? Also anyone have any good review sites

try chemmybear.com it has good cram sheets and flash cards.

I think it's better to make YOUR OWN flashcards. That way, you are consciously engaged in the entire process. By the time I had finished making mine, I barely needed them anymore.

Put down EVERYTHING that you find difficult. Be sure to categorize them though, don't put down equilibrium and stoichiometry on the same card for example.
