Hi all. I’m gearing up for a round 2 of college admissions this year - this time as a transfer student, which I’m aware has its own challenges - and I have a 31 that I’d like to turn into a 34 or better. What are the most essential prep books and strategies for accomplishing that?
The Red Book is the first and last book you should use.
But why are you unhappy at your current college? Transfer students need to have an extremely strong reason for transferring.
thank you! I haven’t started yet at my college, but my situation is this - I applied to U of Oklahoma, U of Arkansas, Oberlin, U of Central Oklahoma, and Oklahoma City University this past year (my senior year) and got into and toured most of them, but none of them were very good fits. I completely admit that I did admissions wrong last year by starting too late and not putting in the research to find a roster of schools to apply to that would actually work for me, and I got what I deserved. Therefore, my plan is to put in a year at the regional university available to me while I apply transfer to other schools that I would actually like to go to.
also, is there a specific edition of the red book that I should invest in?
You should get the latest edition of the official ACT red book published by Wiley.
thank you @Lindagaf !
