Congratulations to UC Berkeley, of my daughters 7 acceptances including Harvard you are by far the most expensive; with a totally crappy fin-aid offer! This will save me much anxiety and air-fare over the next four years.

Berkeley is more expensive than Harvard?

She must have gotten some good scholarships at Harvard...

Yep, a fantastic offer from H but a very disappointing one from B. I guess that's what a $29 billion endowment can do....

i got a crappy offer too
ill end up with a 28k debt and i cant even afford to borrow that
man its so frustrating
thats why im scrambling to get as much money from scholarships as i can

thanks cal

Berkeley offered me a better deal through Regent(and probably Alumni) than Harvard!!!

Berkeley offered me a little over 15k (I'm a CA resident though).

I'm a CA resident and paid roughly $19k this year for everything. Next year, it'll probably only be about $13k.

be poor and live in Cal w/ regent = pretty much full ride but yeah i think UC gives Cal resident a really good offer

i got alumni's TAAP and some local scholarship and i'm pretty much set. Although, i got a reduction in my financial aid package. Bastards! Cal still wants me to borrow money!!!!

Boojum-- your post strikes me as a little odd in that you don't seem to get that Cal is a state school, so if you aren't a state resident were you really expecting a lot of finaid from Cal?

you really can only get good aid if you're a regents scholar, if i weren't, princeton would have been a lot cheaper than berkeley... the ivy leagues do offer great aid.. if you qualify...
