Hello, my name is Pete. I have been a lurker since December, and I must commend many of you all on your diligence and your work ethic. Everytime I see the chance me threads on these boards, I always feel rather ashamed for my slacker attitude.

Well, I noticed the threads on self studying AP examinations back in December, and I thought to myself "Hey, I want to get out of college classes, and I hate actually being in class. I am a smart kid albeit a lazy one. I can probably study for these classes on my own."

Many of these students on here speak lightly of cramming for AP exams in one night or week, and I thought I could do the same. Needless to say, my ego got in the way, and I waited till late April to start studying for European History, Microeconomics, and Psychology in addition to the three AP classes I took at school.

Let's just say that I crashed. I have a tendency of rationalizing my problems away to not affect my supreme ego, but I will not do this here. What occurred was that I overestimated my abilities, put too much work on myself at once, underestimated the ap material, distracted myself with fruitless endeavors (i.e. girls and extracurriculars) and finally did not appreciate the amount of fortitude that is required to successfully take these exams.

tl;dr I screwed up. I overestimated my diligence, took to many ap exams, got distracted and did not put enough effort to succeed on these examinations.

Nonetheless, I do not give up easily, and if anyone watches "How I Met Your Mother," I am essentially the embodiment of Barney (without the suit, sadly.) Thus, I did not take this failure personally but as a challenge, and I must say "Challenge Accepted!"

Leading to my central purpose of posting, I must ask what is the most amount of exams one has gotten a 5 on in year. I have a desire to one-up that number. ;)

tl;dr What is the most amount of exams anyone on this board has taken. An arrogant young boy from Georgia wants to exceed that because he wants to fulfill many of his core requirements for electrical engineering at GaTech, so that he can take a gap year to possibly work at a startup. Sadly, he needs external motivation to push through his ADD tendencies.
