thanks!! so is it really hard to transfer to one of those popular majors or not?

I can’t say much from personal experience as I’m just a freshman, but one of my friends was admitted as a Psych major and wants to change to an Econ major, so now she’s taking Econ courses. Some upperclassmen I’ve met have also gone through a change in major. It shouldn’t be much of a problem as long as you show you’ve done coursework towards your desired major, and that there’s time for you to complete that major.

ok thanks! :)

It really depends. If you are not in the engineering program, for example, and end up having a hard time catching up on the material… then you might never meet the GPA requirement. I would recommend you applying to the more difficult major if you have a choice; easier to switch out than switch in.

yeah that’s what i figured you too so i applied as an english major, but as i continue looking through davis’ majors, i’m finding that there are SO many awesome awesome choices!
