What are the easier majors to get into for davis?

Any that aren’t popular, not sure entirely what these are right now, but you can always call and ask for the “impacted majors”, and stay clear of those :)

I don’t think there’s necessarily an easier major…but the top 5 are:

Biological Science

Undeclared Exploratory Program (not sure what that is)

Undeclared Life Sciences

Psychology

Undeclared Social Sciences

Basically majoring in science will be the most competitive (at any UC). :)

thanks!
is business hard as well?
how bout journalism?

I don’t even know if Davis has a business major…it might be Economics.
The school I heard that has a good communications/journalism program is UCLA. :)

Don’t pick a major from its supposed “easiness” for Davis. Unless you’re applying for engineering at Cal or limited spots, the major does not supremely influence your admission. If a major is impacted to the point of affecting admission, that is usually made known–for example, you will find on the UC application that UCSD science is impacted, and the CSUs also have impacted science majors. On the other hand, a major like food microbiology that is really obscure may offer you a greater chance.

In general, science, and thus the College of Letters and Science, is the most popular at any UC. But majors by no means throw an admission one way or another unless it is super competitive or obscure. You should know by your stats what shot you have at Davis.
