Does anyone else find this hilarious?

"OFF CAMPUS THEFT

DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: December 10, 2010, at approximately 5:41 a.m.

LOCATION: 7400 Block of Hampson, near Cherokee.

REPORTED OFFENSE: The student was approached at the intersection by a subject on foot with his hands in his pockets. The subject said, “Hey, Ma’am.” The student screamed in fear and threw her wallet at him. The subject ran river bound on Cherokee and picked up the victim’s wallet as he fled the area."

I think the student should've gotten charged for assault lol

Since there had unfortunately been a crime incident just the day before, maybe the student was understandibly fearful. That said, its really better to walk in groups in some areas off campus.

I got this in my email, and thought it was funny, too. It’s just the comical idea of it…

5 a.m.? 'nuff said

OOh-- didn’t notice the time of the incident

My son says he has been walking around campus saying “Hey, Ma’am” to everyone he meets. He says most people just laugh, although one kid threw an empty coffee cup at him.

Apologies if this offends anyone, but I laughed when I read this crime alert I got as an email. In fairness, I laughed in part b/c there was a more serious alert earlier today of some random arson incidents at several houses last night, and my DS happened to be at one of the houses that was a victim of the arson (someone took the lighter fluid by the grill on the front porch and set a chair on fire, also on the porch. Fortunately some other students drove by, saw it, put it out and got the sleeping kids out of the house. But it could have been really bad, had they not put it out. Those houses are old and wooden tinderboxes). So, in contrast, when I read this email, after earlier reading the arson email, I laughed:
