<p>Two that misspelled the names of the schools! I doubt the adcoms at Colombia and Brandies would be too sympathetic.</p>

<p>People with GPAs that are beyond low for the schools they are looking at (I have seen several people with 2.5-8 who want to go to Harvard). Also the people who have horrible grades/stats but want us to chance them like they have a 4.0/2400 because they think they will all of a sudden chance.</p>

<p>All “chances” topics are ridiculous, because the entire concept is nonsense.</p>

<p>Nobody in this forum sits on an admissions committee, nor does anyone in this forum have the responsibility of sifting through all the applications. Nobody here has a clue what filters any particular admissions committee might be applying, or what the pool in any particular year looks like. This forum is full of random guessing couched as knowledge, and it would be silly if it weren’t for people actually taking it seriously.</p>
