most rigorous junior year courses

thats true, u dont have to take 10+ APs but it certainly helps. its just like saying u dont have to get a 2400 on ur SAT, BUT it certainly helps no matter the controversy-look up the stats. and why are we here? to maximize chances and glean information about colleges. im pretty sure theres a lot of people who go to top notch colleges with like 3 or 4 aps but theres sure as hell a lot of them who go with 10+. u may think APs are overated but they provide a standerdized way of looking at performance in a class without u ing about how ur chem teacher was an ** and gave u a B

no offense to anyone, just my 2 cents

Yeha seriously, grades are a joke. There is no validity whatsoever.

There are some private schools out there (and even some public) where the teachers actually make AP classes hard - like they are supposed to be.

And then there are those masses where they just give out graades for free.

AP Tests and SAT's are perfect for actually analyzing a kid's performance - you cannot go by grades because their value and actually rigor changes from school to school.

My Junior year schedule was:

English III AP
Journalism Production H
APUSH
Pre-Calculus H
Social Justice
Western Traditions CL
Astronomy H

thank you jason, im tired about hearing people whining about how these standerdized tests are overated. these dumb@sses need to get a life. Colleges look at more than just grades, thats why there are ECs, essays, recs, and competitions. BUT for grades, they look at AP tests, and SATs BECAUSE EVERYONE TAKES THEM. and yes, a competitive schedule would be like 10+ APs...because APs are standerdized courses (in respect to the test, u cant just fail the test) no one knows what u do in ur Gifted Math 4 Honors class...

ap spanish 4

what is that?

spanish lit or spanish lang

take out us and slap in ap music theory

and make spanish latin

dude that would be soooooo hard
