Mothers' Day

What do you do for Mothers' Day?
I'm really close with my mom - we're like best friends - and ironically, that makes gift-giving very hard. She always says not to buy her anything, but the whole scrapbook/poem/artistic-collage-type-thing is getting kind of old year after year. Anyone have any last-minute good ideas?

I'd also just like to hear what you all think about the holiday, and mothers in general. :)

Similar situation here; very close, and she never wants me or my sister to give her anything. A sort of gridlock results and she usually ends up getting money and/or a card which I feel guilty about but she doesn’t mind.

I made a pillow for my mom, even though the gift she specifically asked for was that I clean my room asap.

There’s necklaces I saw at Kohls that were nice. Sterling Silver and they have little messages on the package. I actually have one for dancing, and I really like it.

They’re sold for like $15 so it’s not that expensive, but it’s a nice gift.

Sorry, it was actually a cushion, not a pillow. Well, it can be both, I guess.

Got my mom some perfume and an extra gift that came with it for an extra 30 bucks. We’re very close, but I still got her something.

^Whoa, that is REALLY sweet. Especially for a guy. Especially for a guy doing it voluntarily. Especially for a guy your age voluntarily giving your mom something that nice. Puts the rest of us to shame…:/

^You can still get something for her for tomorrow…

Well, I paid for half of it, but I had to tell my dad just so we’d get it, so it was my idea completely.

I hate to sound like a bad daughter, but I pretty much forgot about Mother’s Day until today, whoops. So I’m getting up early and cooking her breakfast tomorrow, then we’re going out for dinner… maybe I should offer to pay. It’s the thought that counts, right?

Lol, my dad bought my mom Lady Gaga concert tickets.

I think that I’ll just end up giving her a gift card.

^haha. My dad bought my mom a jewelry set with her birth stone in all of them. Also, he got her this necklace with an engraved message. He got her more but he will not tell me what it is.

It is her birthday on Monday :b

It’s my friend’s birthday on monday too. She’ll get two AP exams back to back to celebrate the day.

I’m sure that will make her day extra special :)

~15 seconds…

I’m such a bad child. I do nothing. Only I attempt not to **** her off. Which already happens. I plan on going dress shopping for me with her tomm. though.

My mom gets *ed off at me too…but I do not try to * her off. She just always thinks I am trying to rebel.

Ughh…just because I have a Jesus sticker on my face does not mean I am rebelling!

^ Lol wow mine too.

We have so much in common.

Haha mothers. I made her something really nice this year  I hope she loves it.

^I tried to wear jeans to church one day, because I didn’t feel too well. You should have seen her face…

Washed her car.

I’m a guy btw.

I bought my mom a new digital camera because she enjoys photography, also I’m making her breakfast.
