Motivation and coursework

How does one develop a passion for dislike courses? How do you stay motivated and complete your work in a timely manner?

You just do. Attend class, take notes, read the book and submit materials on due dates. There is no particular distinction between liked and disliked classes. You prepare and do your best. Very rarely are we able to select only things we enjoy. There is simply no reason not to do well. You may end up enjoying the class or content. You may find that the information will be useful to you later. At worst, you can rejoice that the class is over and you did well.

Whatever you want strongly in life you figure out how to get through the steps to get there. If you want a degree you just slog through the less preferred classes. There’s no other way.

One of my kids rewarded herself. If she finished the least-liked class assignment, she’d give herself a little treat. A study break, coffee drink, snack, 20 minutes of (timed) gaming, texting with a friend, etc.

Form a study group for that class and at least you get to be around friends when you study for it.

All good suggestions. Some people also prefer getting the less desirable stuff done first - it’s out of the way and you don’t have to waste energy dreading it.
