Motivation*January '11 SAT => 160 Days away. Post your study plans here! Here's mine.

Only 160 days away till the SAT on January 22, 2011.

I know I'm signed up for it! How 'bout you?

It's time to get SERIOUS. Anything can be done, studied, or practiced to get an extremely good result after 160 days. We just have to have motivation.

Do a practice test every week from now and you'll have done 22 practice tests. Every other week and you'll have used up 1 more than the BB has already. Chances are you have at least two different books with at least 20+ test total.

Save your BB tests for the end.

...Imagine how much vocab you can learn in about half a year?

Let's say that for every month you study (5.5 left) you add 1 raw point to each section. That's like 10 points. What if you studied so much that you could add 2 raw points to each section? That's 20 (with the curve, that could be more like 50, but we'll just go with 20 as a minimum)points. Over 5 months, you could raise your score 100 points per section, just by understanding 1 extra question each month. That's a total of 300 points on your current SAT score.

Who wouldn't want to study?

Study and get 300 points on the SAT. That could be a $10,000 scholarship or grant. Let's say you studied for 100 hours, that's only about 37 mins per day. You would be getting paid $100/h. WOW!

So I recommend everybody that is taking the SAT on Jan 22 study for 1 hours a day and take a practice test each Saturday or Sunday. 10 hours a week isn't that bad. Your at school for more than 30. If your like me, you want to spend your college time in a school with a beautiful campus. That 1 hour will pay off, trust me.

I'm a first time taker. So are a lot of people. THIS DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO DO BAD, SAVE UP, OR NOT STUDY BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU WILL DO BETTER NEXT TIME! WHY DON'T YOU DO WELL NOW SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT LATER! Whew... Now that that's done...

Over 1,000,000 high school students will be taking the SAT in the next year. Most of those kids will be applying to a college. That is some major competition. Study so you can be chosen over another kid.

The SAT is the hardest test you will take before college if you're not prepared.

I'm a sophomore. I'm taking the SAT. I've never taken Alg II or Trig. I will be taking the SAT in 160 days. The week before the SAT is when I have finals. I will be so prepared that I won't have to worry about the SAT. 20 practice tests will have me ready as well as the BB, Barron's (not 2400... yet), and Gruber's math.

My quest is just starting.

The key is to make yourself interested. Actually pretend you LOVE the material you are studying. You'll wish you did.

And when it's all over, you can just sit back and relax. You will be so proud of yourself.

So go out there and do your best falls back in chair and realizes how much work he's going to have to do to succeed and not let everyone down later sighs

I honestly wish everyone good luck. I want everyone to study and do well. Message me if you want to talk about SAT studying or have general questions. I speak Polish too. Lolz

I promise to post often in this thread just like all my other ones. See you on January 21, that is when I will post on how much the studying has paid off and practice test scores... ooh

bye
